Parents

At Fladbury we believe it is vital to work in close partnership with parents/carers.  We aim to give each child the very best chance of a happy and successful education by working together.

Often simple enquiries can be dealt with quickly and class teachers are available immediately after school should you wish to have a quick chat (just call in at the School Office).  If you need a more lengthy discussion with either the Class Teacher or the Headteacher, then simply make an appointment and we will do our very best to fit in with you.

Regular parents' evenings are held each term when you will be invited in to discuss your child/ren's progress, agree suitable targets for their achievement and have a chance to discuss their individual development with the teacher.  At the end of the school year annual reports are sent out.

Parents are very much involved in the life of the school and are always invited to events throughout the year. We send home regular Newsletters and ‘Special Event’ letters.

In return we ask that parents keep us up to date with important information such as any change of address, contact telephone numbers or the development of any medical condition or anything else which may affect their child’s progress or behaviour.

Partnership Agreement
In common with all schools in the country, Fladbury has introduced an agreement between parents and the school. The agreement sets out the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the children’s education and this allows us to work together more closely and effectively for their benefit.

PTA (Parents Teachers Association)
The school has a thriving PTA and all parents are automatically members. The Association runs a variety of fundraising and  social events, which greatly enhance the life of the school. Any parents who would like to help in any way are most welcome.

Complaints Procedure
Under the 1988 Education Reform Act, Governing Bodies must establish a Complaints Procedure should any parent or guardian be dissatisfied with their function relating to the school curriculum, its assessment and religious worship. Details of this procedure can be obtained from the Headteacher.
